One major impact of the virus restrictions has been the cancel- lation of most major fishing competitions in southeast Queens- land, including our own Moreton Bay and Off- shore Family Fishing Challenge event, which was scheduled to be run in May this year.
While this competi- tion won’t have a car- nival with kids’ rides and market stalls, it still has something for all anglers, with offshore, inshore and junior cat- egories as well as the major prize of $1000 cash for the ‘secret weight bream’.
Included in the event is a new Inter Club Challenge Shield, so if you think your club has the gun fishos on the Redlands Coast, here’s your chance to prove it.
The Challenge is an event run by the Red- land Bay Amateur Fish- ing Club for the past 26 years.
Food and drinks will be available on site for competitors and guests.
The RBAFC is throw- ing down the challenge to every fishing club in the region to enter the competition to try to take home the shield for a year and win a handy $1000 cash for your club.
