few fish to be had. Tarpon had been missing in action for a few months but are in good quantities now. They’ve been found in deep holes between shallow sections of riv- er or cruising along the
surface.
Sooty grunter and jungle perch have also been caught, with a few anglers crossing these species off their bucket lists.
So, if you can get off the couch, book a flight and come up to visit this spectacular coun- try and support our local economy, which has taken a big hit dur- ing the shutdown.
I haven’t caught a bar- ramundi for a while, but some of the guides we book are finding them on a regular ba- sis.
