The Mackerel are in, with a good number caught off Caloundra yesterday. The Blinker and the Gneerings have had a decent amount of Mackerel and the odd small Wahoo as well with confirmed reports of at the very least 2 dozen or more landed with one boat landing 4 and dropping another 2 with a double hook up as well. There are still plenty of Grassy’s and Tusk Fish around for those wanting to land a few table fish. Dolphin Fish have been landed quite widespread with The Hards working well last week.

Caloundra Wide and the Southern End of the Banks are holding some Tusk Fish, Wahoo, Billfish and Dolphin Fish. For best results troll dead baits around 4 knots.

The land based action has been on the sand flats around the Maroochy entrance and Goat Island. The Cod Hole has produced some nice fish. The Mooloolah River has been busy with whiting and Bream on the change of the high tide. A few Flathead have been landed on the edges and drop offs. The Mooloolah River of the rock wall has seen some school Mackerel and Grunter on the run out tide. A little bit of Burley has helped this a great deal.
