Moreton Bay wrap-up

Easter Sunday Morning after the storm Saturday night was the better day for fishing, with Wahoo being caught off Point Lookout as well as squirey snapper, moses perch and grassy sweetlip inside the bay.

Whiting have been patchy with catches in the Rous and around the black drum at Peel.

Squirey Snapper up to 3kg around Peel and Green.  There are a lot of juvenile fish, but persistence does result in larger fish being caught.

Sand crabs are still in close around Wellington Point.

Recent  Mackerel reports have come from Harrys on livies and the Rous Channel on floating Pilchards.

Paul Collinson caught these two cracking wahoo on Easter Sunday off Point Lookout in unfavourable conditions. The bigger of the two fish weighed in at 16kg.
