AIMEX Alley will also return in 2021, offering the best in Australian ingenuity and innovation, destinations, marinas, manufacturers and services. SCIBS Sales & Partnerships Manager Dominic O’Brien said anyone who has an interest in the boating industry, has an interest in being at Sanctuary Cove this May. “Despite the industry experiencing extremely high demand over the past 12 months, we are thrilled that hundreds of trailerable boats, watersport and inflatable craft will be on display for visitors to experience this year,” Mr O’Brien said.

“SCIBS has grown to become the southern hemisphere’s premier marine event and we are proud to offer an incredibly diverse range of boats and products in one spectacular waterfront location over four days. “Whether you’re looking for a day boat, family boat, tender, RIB, sports boat, ski boat, wake boat or fishing boat, or perhaps you’re interested in checking out the latest innovations in marine technology, SCIBS is the perfect place to start your boating adventure.”

Boasting a world-class range of boat and motor brands, Queensland Marine Centre (QMC) dealer principal Andrew Bennett said the company was thrilled to be returning to Sanctuary Cove for a 26th year. “We will once again be displaying a large range of boats at the Show, with some Australian premieres from the likes of Crest Pontoons, Sea Ray, Mastercraft, Protector and Boston Whaler,” Mr Bennett said.

“Some of the exciting new models include Sea Ray 320 Sundancer Outboard, Mastercraft X26, all new Crest pontoons and the exciting new Boston Whaler Vantages. Also on show from New Zealand will be the world-renowned Protector RIBs. “SCIBS always has a great vibe with the social aspect of The Marine Village and the large volume of interstate and Kiwi visitors. With the unsettled year everyone has had, it will be a pleasant change to have everyone in boat show mode again.”

Sales manager Bill Hull from Northside Marine, one of the country’s largest marine dealerships, said they would also be unveiling a number of new models at this year’s Show. “We are thrilled to present the Jeanneau 10.5WA s2 at this year’s Show. It’s the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, and definitely a star point of SCIBS for Northside Marine,” Mr Hull said.

Exciting new models include the Sea Ray 320 Sundancer Outboard.

“The Jeanneau 795 s2 is a new model in the Merry Fisher range that will be on site at this year’s event, providing an updated version of the insanely popular 795 model. The Stabicraft 1450 Frontier is another new model, with the 1450 range replacing the popular 1410 series. Stabicraft are currently scarce in Australia due to high demand so we anticipate this to be a very popular model. “The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has been a vital event for all the major brands in the Australian marine industry. With 45,000 visitors on average each year, no dealership can afford to miss the Show.”

Adding to the stable of new arrivals, JSW Powersports’ marketing manager Oliver Bennett said the watersports dealer will be hosting the Australian premiere of high-end luxury wake boat, the Malibu M220, at SCIBS.  “Year on year, the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show continues to grow and expand, offering additional incentives for both consumers and exhibitors, resulting in a world class boat show,” Mr Bennett said. “We’re also looking forward to showcasing the 2021 Sea-Doo RXP-X 300, which we consider to be the ultimate top-of-the-line racing watercraft, as well as the latest Sea Fox 328 Commander centre console which combines both family leisure and sport fishing.”

Always a popular attraction, the 10-metre-long Shimano Fishing Tank will delight young and old fishing enthusiasts, hosting masterclasses covering the art of fishing and the opportunity to catch and release barramundi and bream. Hosted by SCIBS ambassador and 7 News boating and fishing expert Paul Burt, the SCIBS Live Bream Shoot-Out will be back this year, with amateur and professional anglers invited to enter in teams of two as they compete for a host of great prizes.

For the first time, SCIBS is operating free park ‘n’ ride services from both Warner Bros. Movie World and Dreamworld across the four days, catering to visitors from both the north and south. Purchase your SCIBS ticket online for a chance to win a trip to the magnificent InterContinental Hayman Island Resort for you and a guest, regarded as the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.
