The NQCYC classic twilight race starts off at 3pm.  Eyes turn to the main stage as the sun sets over the beautiful Bowen foreshore for the evening.

Melodies expertly ring from the guitar, words and stories resonate and Graham brilliantly delivers an unforgettable experience to all.  Leading into the night Hybris 20 – a three-piece band features sultry and powerful female vocals by lead singer Airlie Norton. All three members have had independently successful musical careers for a number of years, meaning the audience are given a wide variety of bands and genres of many well-known and much-loved songs and artists.

They perform in Airlie Beach and The Whitsundays; but are often seen as far as Townsville and Mackay.  7.30pm seasoned cover band, A14 will bring their version of pub/modern rock to the stage as they have been doing since 2005. Who would have thought, that a band with a name so small, could have history so big? What started in A14’s high school music room, the band quickly progressed to entertaining crowds at local pubs and events from Townsville to Airlie Beach. A14 offers a captivating and high energy performance, with their fans describing them as ‘one of the best cover bands they’ve seen!’

Everyone loves fireworks!

And they are on again at 8.30pm just before the one and only Australian INXS show is the definitive ‘Live Baby Live’ tribute to INXS, which faithfully reproduces the live spectacle INXS were famous for all over the world. Featuring the incredible talent of Dellacoma Rio, whose uncanny portrayal of Michael Hutchence has crowds in awe at every performance. They are selling out venues worldwide with incredible high energy live shows, including headline concerts in Dubai, India, China, and New Zealand and exclusive headline theatre shows on international cruise ships.

Whether there’s 4000 people at Adelaide Convention Centre or a packed house at various clubs around the country, The Australian INXS Show captures the unforgettable essence of INXS and delivers a night not to be missed. Sunday morning and the locals and visitors can join in a fun run with proceeds to Cancer Research followed by brekky beachside with the best view around before a leisurely day of music and family fun, weigh in, and wonderful prizes all of which must go home with a lucky winner.

The kids need to come on down too, to have some hands-on fun with Play2Learn crafts by Keira and Melanie, sandcastle competition at 11am and lolly drop at 12pm.  Something different this year is a sensory circus workshop at 1pm.
