27 Queensland community-based not-for-profit organisations, fishing clubs and incorporated associations have received funding for community fishing projects. The funding will support fishing clinics, research and promote recreational fishing or fish habitat improvement and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community fishing projects. Tilapia suspected in Cooby Creek

Biosecurity Queensland is investigating a report of the invasive pest fish species tilapia suspected in Cooby Creek, downstream of Cooby Dam, north of Toowoomba.
