Hi there anglers,
Looks like the weather here on the Sunshine Coast and Kawana will be mostly fine over the weekend with a slight chance of an isolated shower or two and with the New Moon on Sunday we should be in for some good fishing.
The close reef systems have accounted for most of the off shore catches this week mainly due to the lack of fishable conditions further out but some nice catches of reef fish such as pan size Snapper, Grass Sweetlip and the occasional Spangled Emperor have rewarded those who use a range of different tactics and techniques such as burley trails and a range of different baits, a few different rigs and varying fishing depths in the water column at most reefs marks. Such fishing hotspots like The Gneerings, Arkwright shoals, Raper shoal and Currimundi reef on the high tides are producing well using these strategies.
The river mouths and estuaries look to be fishing well this weekend with the New Moon on Sunday and the Bio-metric feeding calendar indicates the best times to be between 9am-11am and 9pm-11pm on both Saturday and Sunday and the weather should good if only a little overcast.
We now have a Youtube Channel so jump on and check some of the informative video’s we are posting up. We would also consider adding any home video’s, of great action be it river, ocean or beach. Please keep it PG. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiMyWsjGiFeTjRaWdTsQmnw
