Palm Beach Reef is the largest coral reef system on the Gold Coast, and one of the best local spots to target mackerel. Swell

New arrangements that came into effect late last year are helping to restore depleted stocks of this species and protect jobs in the industry for future generations.

The sculpture highlights the challenges currently impacting marine environments.

 

Robina State High School students have constructed a sculpture for this year’s Swell Sculpture Festival to encourage people to reflect more broadly on the plight of fish stocks, and the challenges currently impacting marine environments.
