All SeaPro engines feature higher-durometer upper mounts that help decrease life cycle costs. Mercury engine products and marketing director Nicholas Webb said, “With SeaPro we have taken our newest midrange FourStroke outboards to the next level of engine durability and fuel efficiency without sacrificing power, as well as including specific features for commercial users.”
“For example, the new gearcases let you drain the oil without having to remove the boat from the water, so servicing costs are lower, and the upper mounts are twice as stiff as those on recreational models and deliver greater durability.” Mercury’s larger Command Thrust gearcase, which creates a bigger footprint in the water and provides more leverage to control the boat, is standard on the 75hp, 90hp and 115hp SeaPro models.
Its larger torpedo, combined with a bigger-diameter prop, can lift a heavy boat onto the plane more easily and hold it there at lower speeds without impacting top speed.
All SeaPro models feature Mercury’s two-year/1000-hour commercial warranty and are backed by the largest service network in the industry. A pictorial owner’s manual and pictor-ial under-cowl maintenance decals also simplify ownership. SeaPro engines come with a water-separating fuel filter and SmartCraft SC1000 System Tach gauge to offer the commercial user a complete engine package. The gearcase oil drain and fill is in the torpedo, allowing the engine to be tilted for easy drainage and refilling without the need to move the boat from the water, and also without the need to remove the propeller to change the gearcase oil. www.mercurymarine.com.au
