The Freshwater Fishing and Stocking Association of Queensland has been contacted by a member stocking group regarding the current Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme fee structure, where everyone over 18 years of age is required to purchase a permit, either full price or concessional.
The club has requested FFSAQ conduct a survey of clubs and members on their views and thoughts as to whether the current fee structure that came into effect on the 1 July 2015 is still suitable or should the SIPS fee structure return back to the previous system.
Below is the link to ‘Proposed changes to the Queensland Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme and other matters related to freshwater fishing – Decision Regulatory Impact Statement’ document – s3.treasury.qld.gov.au/files/Proposed-changes-to-the-Qld-Stocked-Impoundment-Permit-Scheme-Decision-RIS.pdf
I ask that those wishing to provide feedback on the above, read the document first – a survey form will be included in FFSAQ’s June newsletter for formal responses to be made.
