Guest speakers set to stir adventurous spirit at Brisbane 4×4 Show

THE National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo is back again in 2018 with an outstanding line-up of guest speakers in the form of celebrities and industry experts on hand, with the best advice and recommendations to inspire every kind of outdoor enthusiast.

To be held from March 16-18 at the Brisbane Showgrounds, this year’s show is raising the bar with special guest speakers covering everything from off-road driving to cooking in the great outdoors. At the top of the line-up, Aussie legend Ernie Dingo will be joined on the Waeco CFX Outback Stage with LowRange co-hosts Glen Hadden and Kent Hindley over the event, sharing their unique take on the Australian outback. With a special outlook on the off-road industry that embraces the culture of each destination, and also makes them accessible for both experienced and novice 4WD enthusiasts, Dingo is sure to be a hit on stage.

For all of the best campsites you have never heard of, and a host of delicious tasty treats, catch up with Rick O’Brien from the Offroad Adventure Show on the Waeco CFX Outback Stage and the Catch and Cook stage over the weekend.

Jase and Simon from Australia’s number one four-wheel-drive and adventure show, All 4 Adventure, will also be making a series of appearances on the Waeco CFX Outback stage and the Catch and Cook stage, sharing tips for touring into the wild.

Mr 4×4 himself, Pat Callinan, will also be sharing his wealth of knowledge with the crowds during the event. As Australia’s best-known four-wheel driver and host of one of the country’s most popular 4WD touring television shows, Pat is sure to draw the crowds.

Also appearing over the weekend, will be “Outside Man” Paul Burt, Graham and Shauno from 4WD Action, expert 4WD builder Glen Hadden, and 4WD legend John “Roothy” Rooth.

For fishing enthusiasts, Kaj “Bushy” Busch will be on hand communicating tales from his famous adventures. As one of the most recognisable faces in the Australian fishing community, Bushy is guaranteed to spin some excellent yarns.

Also on the line-up for fishing fans are lure expert Tim Simpson and The Fishing Show host Nige Webster, who will both be making appearances across the weekend.

The legendary Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt is back again in 2018, and will be whipping up some taste sensations on the Catch and Cook Stage as part of his Stove on the Road show.

If lost treasures take your fancy, David Watters will take to the stage to share his extensive knowledge from over three decades in the goldfields. With an intricate understanding of metal detection equipment, Watters is the perfect person to point you in the right direction for your next expedition.

“We’ve brought together an incredible group of experts and celebrities to inform, educate and entertain our visitors this year,” Event Director, Paul Mathers said. “Whether you’re into fishing or fossicking, there’s a speaker at the show to stir your adventurous spirit and inspire your next weekend away.”

As well as a host of appearances from Australia’s most popular outdoor experts, this year’s show will feature thousands of products from all the best 4×4, camping, fishing, boating and outdoor brands. There will also be plenty of action across the Eagers Holden Proving Ground, in the Action Arena, Base Camp, as well as fishing and 4WD seminars, test drives and 4WD training.
