Midway Marine goes single brand Mercury

FOR industry stalwarts Jim and Warwick Rann, turning Midway Marine into a Mercury-only dealership was a pretty easy decision.

“Mercury has everything from 2.5hp to 400hp, the team we deal with is absolutely fantastic, and their business helps our business,” said Warwick, who is Manager/Director at Midway.

A family business which prides itself on outstanding customer service, Midway Marine is a well-known feature in Rockingham, south of Perth, where they cater for all needs with motors and service, new and used boats, trailers, spares and accessories.

“Jim my dad is 72 now and he’s been in the marine game for ever. He’s a lifetime member of the Boating Industry Association,” Warwick said. “And I started working with him back when I was 15, so between us we have a fair bit of experience of what works and what doesn’t.”

The family bought Midway Marine 15 years ago to add to their existing dealership. They have since moved all their operations to the Midway site and have now decided the time is right to switch to Mercury only. “We are very comfortable with the move,” Warwick said. “We have been doing business with Mercury for a long time and we see it as a real partnership. We know their engines are excellent and whatever our customers need there’s a Mercury model that’s going to suit them down to the ground. And as I said the people are fantastic – even the admin and accounts people are really good,” he laughed.
